I think stating that immigration is a solution to poverty is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. - There is no discussion here of WHY exactly wages are lower in other countries which I think is really the key to understanding these things.
Let's imagine that developed countries followed the 3% labor force increase through immigration. The $300B to the immigrants would result in higher standards of living for them, but also to their families due to remittances. This would probably be a larger effect than most if not all actual aid programs. Would it "solve" poverty in those countries? No. Would it do more than most other measures that target poverty. Probably yes.
